Christmas in Paris

Dana and I spent Christmas week in Paris, France!  Lovely.
Our charming, pink and purple hotel room!
Views from our balcony...
Notre Dame de Paris
West facade
The cathedral construction began in 1163 and was completed in 1345
Nativity scene
A rainy, +2 degree celsius day
Golden gate of the Ministry of Justice, Palais de Justice
The Louvre Palace, dating back to 1190
Glass pyramids marking the new entrance to the Louvre Museum
Inside the museum
Massive crowd..must be something good!?
sneaking in a little closer...can almost see the painting now...
just a bit of security
And there it is...I'm such a good art history student
One evening we took an Illuminations of Paris tour by Open top bus
Avenue des Champs-Élysées which leads to the Arc de Triomphe
Petit et Grand Palais
Place Vendôme
On the Place de la Concorde there’s a large merry-go-round erected each year that illuminates the foot of the Champs-Elysees

All in all, I think we spent most of our time eating crêpes and drinking in cafés!  And we did a nice amount of shopping too :)
Best hot chocolate EVER
